Stone Veneer, Fireplaces & Feature Walls Laid to a Plan

Stone gives a property permanence. DL Construction installs stone veneer and full stone detailing for exteriors, entries, columns, wainscots, outdoor living areas, and interior feature walls throughout Kalispell and the Flathead Valley. Because stone is unforgiving, we dry-lay and plan our layout first — balancing color, size, and joint lines so the finished wall looks natural instead of repetitive.

Fireplaces are where this craft shows most. A floor-to-ceiling stone surround becomes the focal point of an entire room, so we take time on the hearth line, mantel integration, and the way the pattern resolves at the ceiling. The same attention carries to exterior applications, where correct moisture detailing behind the stone protects the structure for the long term.

Stone also pairs naturally with our stucco and plaster work. Many of our Flathead Valley projects combine a stucco field with a stone base or accent columns, and having one crew handle both means the transitions are tight, the colors are chosen together, and no one is pointing fingers about who owns the detail.

You will see the plan before we build it: material samples, layout direction, joint style, and a written scope with timeline. During the install we protect finished surfaces, contain dust and debris, and leave the site clean each day.
